About Akasaka Geisha

The history of Akasaka Geisha dates back to the Edo period (1603–1868).  As custodians of Japan's traditional performing arts and culture of hospitality, Geisha have refined their skills in dance, music, singing, and the shamisen, a traditional three-stringed instrument. Their elegant and sophisticated  style has been likened to a peony flower, and they continue to convey a uniquely Japanese aesthetic and refined culture on various stages, including Ryotei Akasaka ASADA.
