TOKYU HOTELS and Suruga Bank to Hold Joint Autumn Cycling Events in October and November

TOKYU HOTELS & RESORTS CO., LTD. (Tokyo Shibuya Ward, President Takashi Takei) will jointly host four cycling events in October and November 2026 with Suruga Bank Co., Ltd. (Shizuoka Numazu City, President Hirosuke Kato, hereinafter "Suruga Bank"), with which we have a partnership agreement for bicycle promotion.
In March 2023, our company supported Suruga Bank's "Cycling Project"*1 and signed a "Partnership Agreement for Bicycle Promotion" with the company. Until June 2026, various cycling events will be held in areas such as Mt. Fuji and the Izu area, and in October and November, we have decided to hold cycling events at "FUJISAN MISHIMA TOKYU HOTEL," a hub for access to Mt. Fuji; "SHIMODA TOKYU HOTEL," located along the Pacific Coast Cycling Path; and a new "THE YOKOHAMA BAY HOTEL TOKYU," adding the first base for cycling events. THE YOKOHAMA BAY HOTEL TOKYU is located in the heart of Yokohama and Minato Mirai, with its lush park and location overlooking Yokohama Port, making it highly compatible with cycling, which led to our participation in this project.
The THE YOKOHAMA BAY HOTEL TOKYU Yokohama course is a small-group ride with a distance of 13 km, cycling around 'Iseyama Kotaijingu Shrine,' 'Naritasan Yokohama Betsuin Enmeiin,' and 'Hie Shrine' to receive goshuin stamps. You can either bring your own goshuin book or purchase it at your first stop, 'Iseyama Kotaijingu.' Riding speed is about 15~20 km/h. Project members will support participants. Bicycles, helmets, and gloves will be provided, so participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes and sneakers suitable for exercise. After returning, you can enjoy a weekly lunch at the hotel's lounge "Somerhouse" (menu selection at cycling reception. Food and drink costs are your own responsibility).
All courses are supervised and group rides are led by Yasutaka Tashiro, an Athens Olympic road racer and CEO of Linkage Cycling Co., Ltd.

Highlights of the event will be shared at each spot along the course via the official SNS of the Suruga Bank Cycling Project, where participants will share the appeal of cycling environments in Shizuoka and Kanagawa.
TOKYU HOTELS & Resorts will continue to regularly hold and promote cycling events and promotions, striving to revitalize communities and promote tourism through the use of bicycles.
